25 things you probably didn't know about me.

1. i hate bananas. i think that they are the most disgusting food in the whole world (no offence if you love bananas). i can't even eat banana bread, or have a banana smoothie, or look at someone eating a banana. yeah. it's weird
2. i still listen to adventures and odyssey. that's a children's christian radio show that is usually for kids 12 + under. i don't care though. i love it. 
3. my favourite TV show from the 90's is boy meets world. it is still to this day my favourite show. i have a crush on shawn hunter. he is perfect. 
4. i am probably the most sensitive person when it comes to movies. i can only watch comedies/romance movies. i get scared/sad/grossed out easily. 
5. i pin a whole bunch of things on pinterest, but rarely make anything {guilty confession}
6. i used to want to be on broadway as Penny from Hairspray. I dream big. 
7. i also used to want to go to Juilliard. as you can see, i wanted to live in NYC. 
8. i'm a city girl, one hundred and fifty million percent a city girl.
9. my favourite colour is white. i don't care if you say it's not a "colour" i think it is. 
10. my favourite song of all time is "from here to the moon and back" by dolly parton 
11. i've lived in the same city my whole life. i love it here. but i also love travelling 
12. if i could travel to five places (i've never been to before) in the world i would go to london, paris, italy, africa and australia. 
13. i want to adopt two children from africa one day, when i'm married. 
14. autumn is my absolute favourite season, then spring. 
15. i'm the girl that's been dreaming about getting married since she was a little girl. 
16. i failed my learners test four times. 
17. if i could live anywhere in the world it'd probably be either in london or california. 
18. i have expensive taste. hahah. my friends joke and say "you neeeeed to marry rich!"
19. i sing! and i love it. it's one of the only things in school i feel that i really excel at and i'm grateful for that. and that i have a class where i get to sing in (worship). 
20. i turn 17 in under 7 weeks. 
21. i used to want to be a nurse, until i found out you had to deal with blood. i am terrified of that.  
22. i hate spiders. like, even the littlest one i scream 
23. i sleepwalk a lot, and talk to people in my sleep without realizing it. 
24. i am a makeup-a-holic, even more than clothes. i buy a lot of it. it's an obsession. 
25. when i was four i got my tonsils and adenoids out and the doctor said i had the biggest adenoids he'd ever seen!

Subtle Spikes

Shirt: Forever 21 // Jean Shorts: Don't remember // Black Tank: Smart Set

This shirt is my favourite for so many reasons. Reason One: It's the perfect green that is in for the season. Reason Two: It has little tiny spikes around the shoulders. I love spikes but I don't know if I love them enough to have them all over my shirt, which is why I like how they are subtle. Reason Three: You can wear it so many different ways. Buttoned up, no buttons, with jeans, with shorts, over a dress you name it you can wear it with anything. Today I went simple and paired it with a pair of jean shorts since it's been so hot here. Yes, even in Canada it does get hot! Hope you enjoyed this outfit. 

Five Things

You know those weeks where it's not good, but it's not bad? That was this week. There were really good parts to this week, like having a dinner out with family, or learning a new way to do my hair which means not having to wash it everyday (tutorial coming!), or missing two and a half days of school. But, there were the bad things, like WHY i missed two and a half days of school. I was sick. Not fun. I'm one of those people that not only just "doesn't like" but despises being sick. You're stuck in bed, with nothing to do. Not fun. Apart from that, there were mediocre things that happened this week, like applying for lots more jobs in my area. Pray I get one! Because I really, really want one! This weekend I am going out of town with my family, grandparents and aunts + uncles. We do a yearly trip and it's definitely a highlight. Camouflage

I am all about this military/camo trend. Seriously. It's awesome. I scored this shirt for $15 at Papaya and I love it. Shorts are very old so I don't know where they are from unfortunately. I love the laid back feel of this outfit, but the camo still makes it trendy and in style. Hope you enjoyed!

This is my go-to casual outfit. Perfect for shopping, or just lounging around. I love animal shirts, and this panda shirt was too cute to pass up, throw on some black leggings and a cute beanie from H&M and you are good to go!

Fur Kinda Day

 I have a love-hate relationship with this vest. I love it because it's cute, chic and trendy and I hate it because sometimes I am not "bold" enough to wear it. But today, I was feeling extra bold and decided to throw it on, with this solid colour blouse and printed pants I think it worked great! Also, this is my FIRST fashion post! So, please forgive the lighting in the pictures, because I am still trying to work it all out with lamps and such, but I wanted to make sure I got a blog post up today! A little announcement.

So, as you guys have probably seen (or NOT seen for that matter! ha!) I haven't been posting on the blog as much. Life got crazy, and, to be honest, I kind of didn't even want to have a blog so I just stopped. I decided to take a break and focus on other things in my life. My sister got married so I spent time with family, I also kept myself busy with friends, and redecorating my room (post to come about that!). But, I also lost vision of what I wanted my blog to be. Recently, it's been kind of random, and scattered. Although sometimes "random" is good, I want my blog to have one main focal point. I thought about all the things I'm passionate about, but one thing stuck out to me more and more. Fashion. I've very recently thinking about what I want to do after I graduate interns (even though I'm not there yet!). One of my options is becoming a stylist since fashion is something I love. So, I thought I would do a blog that is mainly fashion/outfit posts. I've rarely done fashion posts on the blog so I am so excited to start! I'll probably start up with fashion posts next week once I get all the outfits together. Of course, I will do my "five things" post on Friday's and there will be lots of "life lately through the phones". But the "main focal pint" will be fashion! I am super excited to see how it all works out!
